A lot of people that have heard this song say it has no depth simply because it talks about a DJ. There might not be a meaning but it doesn’t matter. The point of songs is that you make your own meaning. You might be completely wrong or you could be right on about it but as long as it means something to you.
Personally, this is my favorite song off So Wrong, It’s Right. For me, this song is about just wanting to leave. That’s how I feel. I want to leave before this town takes the last bit of sanity I posses. The DJ is like a metaphoric everyone. Everyone is out to get him, to make sure he goes insane with pressure. And when he tries to do something to stop it, he’s the one that gets reprimanded. He doesn’t need help, he just needs a break to free his mind of everything. Just one more vacation to help him keep his sanity and to be able to deal with everything being put on him.
He’s pretty much saying “You’re driving me insane. Come watch cause I’m on the verge of a melt down.” Come One Come All you’re just in time to witness my first breakdown. He’s wasting time. Every minute spent doing nothing is wasting his life away. He needs to leave and do something or just leave in general.
